Building usage
It can be used for the earthquake reinforcement of existing buildings and buildings under construction. Where earthquake reinforcement is concerned, it is best used in buildings constructed between 1971 and 1981. Buildings built before that period tend to have pillars that lack strength so conventional reinforcement may be better as there is the possibility of sheering damage.
Shape
Buildings of an irregular design may require detailed examination such as spatial analysis and may take longer to design in comparison to standard shaped buildings.
@ For apartment buildings, it is possible to reinforce the building by installing the Advanced Damping Device by newly installing an out-frame on the north side of the structural plane. This will not block natural lighting.
